Thousands participate in Regina's 3rd Annual Downtown Ice and Fire Carnival

The fine winter weather contributed to make Regina's 3rd Annual Downtown Ice & Fire Carnival its most successful yet, as thousands gathered in Victoria Park for the City's annual winter festival.
From fire and belly dancers...
to ice lantern gardens...

ice sculptures...

live music performances...

maple toffee...

shinney...

even Mayor Pat couldn't stay away.

The ice & fire carnival is a groundbreaking combination of contemporary dance...

...vibrant colours...

...ephemeral art made of snow and other materials...

A signature event to alleviate the winter blues though arts, culture and memorable experiences.

It was a great experience to be one of the snow carvers, and i hope the ice & fire carnival becomes an annual tradition for regina. What a great idea to have such a mixture of artists and events. There is something for everyone! Bravo!
